13th February 2023

Some sample questions to help a team move from a current state to a future state are shown below

  • Ask participants to choose two pictures to represent the “current state” and a future “desired state”.

Current State Image Question
1. Explain why you chose the current image – what it represents, associated problems, feelings, positive and negative responses.
Future State Image Question
2. Explain what the second picture represents: the vision you have of how things could be.

3. Identify what would have to change to move the team from current to future state.
4. Consider which of those changes are within the control or the influence of the team members
5. Work together to identify the first steps that team members could take, individually and together, to move towards Image 2.
